It has become evident that out government is looking to do away with mortgage brokers. As most of you know, in the last 12 years I have worked both as a mortgage banker with GMAC and Countrywide (now Bank of America) and for the last 4 years been working as a mortgage broker. They're are many similarities and quite a few differences too. I am curious to know your thoughts. What advantages and disadvantages do you see with mortgage bankers vs. mortgage brokers?
